Clive Street Residence, Brookline, Massachusetts designed by Landscape Architect Stephan Stimson. The brief was to create a landscape that could handle a large play lawn for athletic use, a pool area, kitchen garden and terraces for entertaining. What eventuated is a series of landscapes that create connections between architecture and the spaces between them. A formal garden at its centre, the planting subtly dissolves into the surrounding woodland through using native wetland plants and mimicking the evergreen and deciduous trees that were existing in the woodlands.
