Design Services

Like a seed that transforms a bare plot into a flourishing garden, every Joanne Green project begins with a conversation. We believe in listening, and we believe in working closely to achieve a common goal: a creative solution expertly constructed for family and friends to enjoy.

Over the years, we have designed gardens large and small, in both cities and the vast expanses of the countryside. We have also picked up a few awards along the way, but what gives us the most pride is creating individual gardens that suit the site, the architecture of the house and the owners needs.

Our services scale to accommodate a range of budgets, and we are just as comfortable with an on-site consultation as with drawing up a full set of concepts and submitting the necessary paperwork for council approval. Everything beyond the walls of a house is our domain, and we are equipped to provide driveways, terraces, decks, ponds, pools, lawns, and even tennis courts.

On-Site Garden Consultations

Every new project begins with a personalised consultation where either Joanne Neylon or Rory Graham will assess the site’s unique qualities and meet the client to understand their requirements. Often, new ideas will be generated at this stage as both parties begin to see the potential for a garden that reflects the owner’s tastes and interests.

After this initial meeting, a “Design Fees Proposal” is prepared. Clients may then elect to proceed with one of the following options.

Landscape Concept and Budget Estimate

This service prepares a design to the client’s specifications and offers a cost estimate to construct it. Drawings are provided, however these are not suitable for council submission and are more useful for getting a better idea of the work required. Once satisfied, and if council permission is not required, these documents are adequate for our staff to construct from.

Landscape Documentation for Council Submission

Joanne Green Landscape Design researches and prepares all the necessary plans and documents for submission to local authorities, based on the brief developed through prior consultations. Once approved JGLD can construct the project for the client. These plans may be created with CAD tools or drawn by hand, depending on the project.
